Super Save Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Supervisor to oversee and improve the company’s safety culture.
Key Qualifications
- Completion of high school
- 1-2 years in a safety related role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to multitask and ability to prioritize tasks
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word
- Knowledge of industry is considered an asset
- May be required to work extended hours, including occasional weekends
- Additional or specialized training in transportation, occupational health and safety, or similar area of study

Responsibilities
- Seeking to continuously improve the company’s safety culture through new practices and innovation
- Enforcing the company’s OHS Program, and all other safety-related policies, procedures and instructions, across all job functions and duties, including team members, managers, contractors and visitors
- Analyzing, in close cooperation with relevant management, the company’s situation and its evolution in terms of OHS aspects in order to detect deviations from rules and obligations and to take corrective action in due time
- Preparing and presenting monthly safety metrics
- Maintaining the OHS system and ensure it is updated with new information and changes in regulations
- Consulting with, coaching, and counselling managers, supervisors and staff on various safety issues such as compliance, hazard and risk assessments, and development of procedures and controls
- Responding to and/or advising managers, supervisors, and team members in work refusal, emergency, or serious injury situations involving exposures or serious accidents
- Investigating concerns and suggestions brought forward by team members, or managers, and liaising with management and/or HR on issues, as required
- Ensuring that all investigations of all First Aid and OHS incidents are carried out, and assisting in the preparation of recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Coordinate and deliver safety training courses and testing, or arrange for external training, such as WHMIS, fall protection, lift ticket, first aid, etc.
- Ensuring that the company is at all times compliant with all relevant regulations and legislation
- Other duties and projects as assigned by management
